After Hours Gallery and the Artists in Conversation collective recently announced a collaborative group exhibition, "WishList", interrogating perceptions of online marketplaces, mass production, and consumer culture.
The exhibition includes work across 2D and 3D media by 26 artists, highlighting our cultural fixation on memorabilia, collecting vs. hoarding, and the over-commodification of our bodies, our ideas and our data.
Featured Artists:
Christopher Alday, Joshua Anstrand, Jean Balestri, Isabel Betsill, Roman Buck, Katrina Dais, Eli Decker, Vincent DeZutti, Vik Gradient, Bryan Gratz, Leo Heinen, Ben Hering, Lavender Jeffries, Ian Kim, Noah Lawrence-Holder, Robert McGrady, Claire McKevitt, Derek Meier, Julia Meles, Brian Noyed, Jamie Owens, Rachel Phoenix, Saulaman Schlegel, Camden Stevens, and Kyle Williams.
WishList opens at After Hours Gallery on Saturday, November 29 from 6-9 pm. Work will be listed for sale on a fully functional, satirical web store and on view in the gallery throughout December.
