TexT showcases Lacy as a storyteller who engages viewers through thought provoking imagery and meticulously crafted objects. Her sculptural and illustrative works move fluidly back and forth between text created with her non-dominant hand and intricate constructions made through collage, folding, stitching, and beadwork. Stories are alternately concealed or revealed in the making process. To Lacy, “lives are made up of stories and journeys”, where words are powerful visual and audible forms of thought that represent beginnings and endings, over and over again. They are the foundation of her creative practice, generating meaning with every moment of making.

Presented concurrently with Neitherness | Matthew Pawlowski.

Hours:
Tuesday – Saturday, 10 am – 4 pm
Open until 7 pm on Thursday
Closed Sunday + Monday
