ArT @ 967 Payne presents REFLECTIONS, a solo exhibition of paintings, photographs, and mixed media installations by Iranian-born artist Roya Nazari Najafabadi, calling attention to the struggles and unwavering spirit of Iranian women in their quest for freedom.
Roya Nazari Najafabadi's work explores the true nature of human beings and environmental issues through emotionally charged artworks. Her aim is to invite viewers into her intellectual space, encouraging contemplation of the emotions she portrays, such as tragedy, anger, pain, chaos, and depression. The recent works in this exhibition explore the experiences and struggles of Iranian women, including their resilience and quest for freedom. She seeks to tell stories through her art that otherwise would be kept silent, and raise awareness about the social/political challenges faced by Iranian Women today. It highlights their strength, creativity, and unwavering spirit."
