Odyssey, A 50 Year Artist's Journey: Not a Still Life | Charles Gilbert Kapsner

An Art Renewal Center (ARC) Associate Living Master, Kapsner is known for his diverse repertoire, particularly his thought-provoking, Vanitas-style still life paintings. His works include finely developed charcoal drawings, oil portraits, and a creative blend of beautiful imagery accessible to all. Works include lush florals, poignant works of social commentary, and pieces honoring veterans’ service. 

Materials will be displayed that highlight Kapsner's technique, special tools used in his fresco paintings, as well as his career-defining set of five epic 8 X 10 ft. oil paintings permanently installed at the Committal Hall of the MN State Veteran's Cemetery near Little Falls MN.

Kapsner’s art has garnered numerous awards, and admiration and respect from both peers and art enthusiasts. Studio Pintura is honored to present this curated show by an exceptional artist whose life, and body of work, has been anything but still.
