Each artist approaches the theme from a unique perspective, weaving together personal narratives and shared experiences that invite visitors to reflect on the stories hidden within the things that surround us. Featured artists include:

  • • Brenda Olson – Illustration, Mixed Media, and Children’s Book
  • • Amy Wilderson – Jewelry, Sculpture, and Assemblage
  • • Katy St. John – Poetry, Music, and Photography

At 6:00 p.m., on Friday, August 14, guests can enjoy interactive art activities and light refreshments, with an Artist Talk to follow at 7:00 p.m. The artists will share the inspiration behind their work and the process that brought the exhibition to life. The reception will also celebrate the release of The Magic Quilt Fort, Brenda Olson's new author-illustrated children's book. The evening will conclude with a live musical performance, by Artists on Earth (A.O.E.) from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. A.O.E. is a dynamic collective of talented local musicians from the Twin Cities, known for bringing together a unique range of artistic styles and music.

"In a time when we wonder what is real and true, we desire authentic stories and the human touch.” Brenda shared with us. “This collaboration is grounded in something tangible and grown out of relationship and community."
