This event is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to mingle with artists and fellow photography enthusiasts while exploring three galleries of contemporary photographic art and enjoying complimentary refreshments. Twenty-five Minnesota artists are featured in group shows, along with artists from 23 other states and 6 foreign countries.
The exhibitions will be on display from August 23 – September 13, 2025.

New! Gallery 1: THE SHADOW ASPECT
A photographic exploration of the formal, psychological, and symbolic presence of shadow—line, shape, and the unconscious.

New! Gallery 2: MOTION BLUR
Photographs that embrace blur to reveal motion, gesture, and time—dreamlike, surreal, and fleeting moments.

New! Gallery 4: THE CHEMISTRY GALLERY – THE SUBTLETY OF PLACE
Handmade silver gelatin prints by Carl Schulze that explore the quiet presence of landscape. These striking black and white photographs demonstrate the expressive range and tonal depth of traditional darkroom printing.

Artist Talk – Carl Schulze
Join us at 5PM on August 23rd for an artist talk by Carl Schulze, featuring his exhibition The Subtlety of Place. Attendees will hear Schulze discuss his visual approach and the technical processes behind his striking black and white silver gelatin prints.
