FOSSUM

Syd Fossum (1909 – 1978) was a renowned Minnesota artist and his artwork is in the collections of the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis Institute of Art,  Walker Art Center, Des Moines Art Center, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

For this show, Gallery 5004 is partnering with Howard and Boone to showcase more than 40 works by Fossum, including oil paintings, works on paper and serigraphs.  Almost all the works that will be available were purchased directly from the Fossum estate in the 1990s and have never been offered for sale until now.  Many of these works are museum-quality and date from the 1930s to the 1970s.
