About the Artist:
Eyenga Bokamba is a visual artist and designer who is most drawn to abstraction as a means of expressing the complexity of identity, politics, and her understanding of the world. Her work investigates the emotive potential of color, texture, and spatial experience. Her paintings and installations have been exhibited nationally and internationally. Bokamba’s practice is deeply rooted in creating work that advances understanding and expands the possibilities of empathy, belonging, and shared humanity.

About the Curator:
Esther Callahan is an independent curator, arts consultant, and co-founder of The BLK Collectors. Her curatorial approach centers on community, cultural memory, and the transformative potential of contemporary art. Callahan has curated exhibitions across Minnesota and beyond, with a focus on uplifting artists of color and expanding public engagement with the arts. She serves as an advocate for accessible, community-centered curatorial practice and the cultivation of meaningful relationships between artists, institutions, and audiences.
