Everyday Solutions for Modern Living

Everyday Solutions for Modern Living

Welcome to Brighton McCormick’s latest collection of sculptural experiments, Everyday Solutions for Modern Living—an exhibition that lingers in the strange, poetic tension between nostalgia and technological fracture.

Featuring neon, glass, cast iron, found objects, and encaustic. The work reimagines discarded domestic forms through a lens that is equal parts childhood fever dream, and clear-eyed reckoning with a polarized present shaped by the long tail of politics and rapidly shifting technologies.

Each piece functions like a keepsake from a world that never quite existed—reshaped, repurposed, and glowing with eerie familiarity. Like a post-apocalyptic home catalog meets 1980s garage sale, with a twist of melancholy futurism…

Opening Reception:
Doors will open at 5:30pm on Friday, November 7th for a happy hour and opening reception. In celebration of their most playful body of work, Brighton would like to invite guests to vote on a late ‘80s film to screen following the reception. The winning film will be announced at 7:30pm, and the movie will start at 8pm. Pajamas, camping chairs, and additional beverages encouraged. Snacks provided.

Expect glowing objects, imprecise memories, and provisional comforts for a future that feels both very weird—and already here.

Hours:
Tuesday-Friday: 9:30am-3:30pm or by appointment.
