Silverwood Park presents Ever-Present: Birds in Our Daily Lives.
The work was selected by Juror Mike Curran.
Birds, both wild and domestic, are found across the planet and live in close relationship to humans. They influence society in concrete ways from food and fashion to hobbies and sports. Some species capture our hearts and imaginations while others are considered nuisances or pests. When we stop and notice birds, we may recognize their value and the importance of our relationship with them. Artists responded to the presence or absence of birds in our daily lives. This exhibition coincides with Three Rivers Park District's Big Year of Birds.
