Diversity, Unity & Hope - the Sacred Paintings of Janet McKenzie
Extensive exhibit of inclusive paintings by artist Janet McKenzie, including 'Jesus of the People'.
Twenty-eight large inclusive sacred paintings honoring all people and all races. McKenzie's well-known dark interpretation of Christ, modeled by a woman, Jesus of the People, is displayed on the pulpit.
This exhibit, in the magnificent and beloved Basilica of Saint Mary, serves to remind that everyone is created beautifully and equally in God's likeness. Free. appropriate for all ages.
