Our Friday Night Art Crawl is February 7. We are bringing on the balloons! It’s our Hudson Hot Air Affair! We are excited to be on the parade route.
Cream of the Crop Artists, 511 2nd Street is hosting
Artist and Draftsman, Jim Clark. He is demonstrating his drawing techniques from 6:00-7:30
Jim Clark lives and works in Hopkins, Minnesota. He was born and raised in an interstitial space, a pocket universe between the IDS building and Amber Waves of Grain. He grew up in the wilds of Minnetonka where great mares once ran free, Dead Man’s Hill swallowed sleds, and the Swamp and Woods held great treasure. The woods and swamp have shrunk, fully plundered. The hill has been capped with gardens and Dishes. And the horses have scattered west and east, north and south.
Jim is recognized as an exquisite draftsman. His beautiful gestural drawings and paintings are in numerous private collections and public spaces.
He is committed to educating folks and we are lucky enough to have him sharing with us drawing skills as he demonstrates on Friday night.
Cream of the Crop Artists Gallery is teaming up with Bennett’s Chop and Railhouse at 517 2nd Street
to bring you art and craft cocktails in both
locations. Dunn Brothers, 529 2nd Street has the beautiful artwork of Naomi Tory Salgado open until 8:00. Urban Olive and Vine is a great pre-crawl option with dining until 4:00 and the artworks of Audrey Martin throughout the restaurant.
See you on 2nd Street for art, art demonstrations, a parade and more. Our hours vary from gallery to business to restaurants. Make an evening of it!
