RumRiver Art Center presents Calling and Renewal, an exhibition that features new works by Lucy Sinkkonen, showcasing pieces from two deeply reflective and spiritual collections.
These bodies of work explore transformation, resilience, and the natural rhythms of change through texture, form, and intentional simplicity. The artist’s signature process blends pastel gesso backgrounds with hand-piped acrylic modeling paste, applied using custom piping tools and palette knives. The works emerge from a layered, meditative method, mimicking organic patterns and the spirit of movement found in nature. These pieces aim to ease the mind and elevate the space they inhabit with love—a visual breath of air in a chaotic world.
