15 elder women with diverse abilities are sharing weavings in progress are sharing weavings in-progress created during this workshop series. These artworks represent the confluence of resilience and art through the lens of aging. There will be live music by violinist Abbey Roemer. Refreshments will be provided. Fresh Eye Gallery is accessible, on a bus line, and with an ASL interpreter. This event is free and open to the public.

Fresh Eye Gallery is a community art space in the Kingfield neighborhood of South Minneapolis. We value inclusion, connection, partnerships, fun, and delight. We are dedicated to exhibiting work by artists of all abilities, backgrounds, and experience levels. 

In addition to presenting open call and invitational exhibitions year-round, Fresh Eye Gallery also hosts events, workshops, artist talks, classes, and offers a gift shop featuring local artists. Each year our mission is manifested
 through an exhibition called Eye to Eye. This project, now in its 10th year, brings together artists of all abilities and backgrounds to build relationships and create collaborative art. 

Fresh Eye Gallery is an extension of our progressive art studio program supporting artists with disabilities called Fresh Eye Arts. Artists in the program are supported with space, materials, staff support, and professional development opportunities. Fresh Eye Arts & Gallery are operated by MSS, a Twin Cities nonprofit supporting people with disabilities.
