38th+CHI Art Crawl
The inaugural 38th+CHI Art Crawl featuring a solo exhibition, encaustic demonstrations, and neighborhood gallery tours.
Join us for the very first 38th+CHI Art Crawl during our monthly Open HeARTh on Friday, August 21, from 5:00–7:00 PM!
Explore our current exhibition, A Cage so Light [you hardly feel it], a solo exhibition by Samael Leopold-Sullivan. From 5:30-6:30pm, you'll have the opportunity to watch the artist demonstrate the encaustic photo transfer process.
The shop will also be bustling with a spoon forging workshop in preparation for the upcoming Bowls and Spoons Harvest Feast from 4-7pm. Feel free to walk the shop and see where your local fire arts artists make their work! Maybe it’ll inspire you to make some work of your own!!
While you are here, pick up a map of participating galleries and businesses to guide your 38th+CHI Art Crawl journey. Stops include Mystic Healing Stones, Bichota Coffee, Listen 2 Us Studio, The Third Place Gallery, Plot Gallery and us (Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center).
Come discover local art, connect with artists, and enjoy an evening of creativity throughout the neighborhood!
This Cultural Districts Art Fund program activity is funded, in part, by the Arts & Cultural Affairs Department in the City of Minneapolis
