2025 Vision Awards

The Northeast Minneapolis Arts District announces that our biennial 2025 Vision Awards will take place on October 29th from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

The Arts Districts Vision Award is in recognition of outstanding work and dedication to the arts community by indivuals. The Vision Awards aim to recognize and elevate visionary thinkers, activists, and individuals of action who strive for the greater good of the arts and the broader community ideals. 

Visionary artists and community members who will receive the 2025 Vision award:
Dyani White Hawk
Peyton Scott Russell 
Marko Fields
Jonathan Query
Nickolas Harper
Kari Dziedzic Posthumus

Casket Arts Building artist Sara Hanson will be creating the awards. .

Lisa Roy from the California Building will be our photographer

Margo Ashmore will be our master of ceremonies (MC) for the evening.
Margo will open the ceremony and give us some historical anecdotes on Northeast Minneapolis and the arts community. 

We thank the committee Herman Milligan, Sarah D. Bogenreif, Ingrid Restemayer, and Josh Blanc for volunteering their time and skills for the Vision Awards program.  

We thank the Hollywood Theater for their generosity and help on this event. We are very pleased to have such an epic space for the awards to take place.

Criteria for Nomination

Someone who has worked tirelessly for their passion and ideas pertaining to the arts. 

An individual who shows insight into unique ways of looking at the world through their art, policy, or actions. 

Their ideas and work express a way forward or inspire others to look outside themselves for answers or inspiration. 

People that have had a profound impact on the arts community.

All are welcome to attend. The Arts District will be provided catering the event with Marino’s Deli. A bartending will be present. It is a free event and celebration of our cornerstone arts community people. To help us confirm our catering needs, people can RSVP with this link.
