2025 Serpentina Film Festival
Serpentina Arts proudly announces the 2025 Serpentina Film Festival, an annual showcase dedicated to films by Latinx filmmakers based in Minnesota, as well as works by Minnesota-based artists exploring themes of Latinidad.
For filmmakers and attendees, the festival promises an exciting evening with films ranging from experimental narratives to poignant documentaries. We welcome all to join us in celebrating our Minnesota community of filmmakers’ visual artistry. There is no cost to attend this public event, however a $5 donation is encouraged.
Festival Highlights:
The 2025 festival will feature an exciting lineup of filmmakers, including Isabela Escalona, Tahiel Jimenez Medina, Rocky Casillas Aguirre, Sebastian Manuel Del Valle Alfonzo Manzo, Juan Diego Perez la Cruz, Graciela DeAnda, Natalia Rocafuerte and more Minnesota based filmmakers.
Esteemed Jury Panel:
The festival’s jurors bring a wealth of expertise and interdisciplinary perspectives:
- Drew Arrieta, documentary photographer and interdisciplinary visual artist based in Minneapolis, MN.
- Hedgiee, multidisciplinary artist of Mixtec heritage, blending photography, illustration, poetry, and other mediums.
- Gabriel Antúnez de Mayolo Kou, Peruvian writer, vinyl collector, and academic with a Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies.
Prize: A grand prize of $250 will be awarded to an exceptional short film as selected by our panel of jurors.
