The North Hennepin Community College Fine Arts Department is delighted to welcome the 18th annual Northwestern High School Art Exhibition, Monday, February 9, through Thursday, February 26, 2026, in the Joseph Gazzuolo Fine Arts Gallery.
The exhibition celebrates the impressive artwork produced by local high school students, including drawings, paintings, photography, jewelry, ceramics, and more.
We are honored to bring together more than 10 area high schools, including Elk River, Kaleidoscope Charter, Maple Grove, Osseo, Park Center, Prairie Seeds Academy, Robbinsdale Armstrong, Robbinsdale Cooper, Rogers, St. Michael-Albertville, and Zimmerman. Up to 10 students from each school may submit artwork for the show.
“The gallery will be filled with more than 100 pieces of art,” said Gina Dabrowski, Art Faculty and Director of the Joseph Gazzuolo Art Gallery. “The creativity behind these artworks on display offers a glimpse into the individual minds of young people. It is our pleasure to have these high school students on NHCC’s campus to display their artwork in the gallery.”
This year's awards will be announced during the closing of the show on February 26, 6:15-7 p.m. One student from each participating high school will be recognized by NHCC faculty with an Artistic Merit Award. Visitors to the gallery may also cast their vote for a People’s Choice Award (PCA) up until 12 p.m. on February 17. The winner of the PCA will be featured on next year’s event promotional materials.
