Yes, No. Yes, No. | Jessica Henderson

Random and referential, sarcastic and sentimental, nonsensical and narrative... Through a densely layered multimedia installation, Henderson visualizes the complicated tensions that emerge when embodied individuals live increasingly disembodied—or multi-bodied—lives. As tech's involvement in daily life continues to increase at a disorienting rate, Henderson seeks to create space for conversation and consideration of the ways in which pervasive technologies shape human experience.

About the Artist: 
Jessica Henderson is an artist, freelance designer and Professor of Design at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. She attended Bethel University for her B.A. in Studio Art and completed her M.F.A with emphases in 2D mixed media, print and bookmaking from Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Jessica has exhibited work in numerous independent galleries and on college campuses including Burnet Gallery, SooVAC, Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Soap Factory, Wheaton College and Samford University. She lives in St. Paul with her husband, twin boys and daughter and can most likely be found in her studio or at the ice rink with the kids.

About Bethel University Galleries:
Bethel has two distinct on campus galleries. Located in the heart of the Art Department, the Johnson Gallery is committed to fostering richness and vitality within the Twin Cities art community through wide-ranging exhibitions by local and national artists as well as student exhibitions. The Olson Gallery exhibits nationally and internationally established artists with the goals of enhancing the university community’s understanding and appreciation of artistic engagement with the world and stimulating public dialogue on issues of art, faith, and culture.
