ABOUT THE EXHIBIT:
These gifted artists are using art to explore their culture, history, spirituality, and lifestyle. This display of artistic pieces is the single largest collection of painting from Myanmar ever to be exhibited in the United States. The collection opens windows to Myanmar's past, its beautiful landscapes, traditional culture and practices, and the remarkably resilient individuals who make up the people of Myanmar. "Window to the Soul" is the first of what we hope will be many exhibition from Myanmar in the USA.

Each painting is a window where the artist invites you to see the world though their imagination, their feelings, and their artistic vision. We invite you on this journey into the soul of the people of Myanmar. We hope that you will understand why it is often called The Golden Land.

The variety of these paintings include realism, modern, landscaping, impressionists, and portraits. These paintings will drag you into the world of Myanmar and hopefully expand your knowledge on Myanmar. Landscape paintings will show you the difference and similarity of American and Myanmar hills. Paintings of the people and monks, will show you the traditions Burmese people participate in. Transportation, such as the two-wheeled, horse-drawn cart, will make you feel the bumps. Animals, such as the water buffalos, will show you how they roam the land of Myanmar. It also consists of paintings of street markets that are on the sidewalks, to show where and how locals get their food.
