Welcome Back | Amy Rice

Welcome Back | Amy Rice

Amy Rice hosts her first in-person open studio including a popup by Bee Relaxed

Amy has been working hard to make this WELCOME BACK open studio event extra special.

It’s been seventeen months since Minnesota Visual Artist Amy Rice has opened her studio in the California Building in the Arts District of Northeast Minneapolis to the public. That is two missed Art-a-Whirls including the one where she planned to celebrate ten full years in her studio as well as ten years as a full time artist. In the past seventeen months, Rice had two solo gallery exhibitions that less than a handful of souls were able to see. Much of that work will be available to the public to view IRL for the first time.

OPEN STUDIO EVENT

Thursday,  August 5th from 5-9 pm
2205 California Street NE, Studio 602, Minneapolis, MN 55418

PRIZES! The first ten customers* will get to pick between a t-shirt with Amy's art produced by The National Butterfly Center or a tote bag I hand-printed on organic cotton for local subscription box company Bee Relaxed.
*customer: person who purchases something (I will have things under $10)

Rice is also excited to highlight other projects and collaborations that she has been involved with during this time. She has worked with The National Butterfly Center in Mission, Texas to assist in their mission to educate the public on vulnerable species and the devastating effects the Southern U.S. border wall is having on their work. She has been the artist for a new, local, woman-owned, sustainable-focused subscription box company, Bee Relaxed AND she has been growing flowers (with some big aspirations of having a real flower farm) with her husband in Central Minnesota.

Bee Relaxed founders will join Rice as studio guests. Look forward to product samples and a fun collaborative give-away for early customers.
