Weather: Prints by Karen Kunc

Highpoint Center for Printmaking is excited to host Weather, an exhibition of works by Karen Kunc, featuring sixteen reduction woodcuts, including four artist books and twelve prints. Kunc’s work is printed in stages during which she carves and destroys the blocks to create the imagery. This material transformation process results in unpredictable artwork, with imaginary landscapes of vortexes, streams and pools, showcasing bold color as place markers for occurrences and sites. Kunc’s work refers to the natural world, its resources and the evolutionary forces that shape our environment.
