“Everyone from Uptown businesses to all of our vendors are very excited the Uptown Art Fair is returning back from a two-year hiatus,” said Uptown Art Fair director Jill Osiecki. “The financial and emotional impact has taken a toll on the area and artist community.”; The world has changed in the past few years, times have often been tough, but what UAF represents —creativity, joy, community and connection, all in an iconic Minneapolis location—are the things we need more than ever. After a 2-year hiatus from UAF, most of the Creative Badasses, a small collective of female artists, will be there - some for the first time - so please come out and celebrate Uptown with us and support local art “, said the “Creative Badass” collective members, which include local artists Kristi Abbott, Greta Sandquist, Sue Mooney, Coreen Johnson, Heather Renaux, Holly Keller, Linda Clayton, and Christina Rossi Hankins.;To say that I’m excited to bring my artwork back to the Uptown Art Fair would be an understatement. Honestly, it’s not about the return of an art fair after 2 years: It’s about celebrating art and local business while bringing positivity and engagement to the neighborhood.", said local photographer Nicole Houff.
The Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx will be participating in the event with a fun activation that will involve fair goers. “In celebration of the Minnesota Art community, we’re facilitating a community art piece to be used during the upcoming 2022-23 Timberwolves season.”, said Quinn Mack, Marketing Coordinator for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx.
