Untitled provides opportunities for artists working in any medium and at any stage of their career, resulting in a survey of varied perspectives and provocative work. These artists were selected from 170 submissions by our juror, Mia Lopez.

Untitled 15 includes an array of voices and perspectives as expressed by artists selected from a national open call. Despite working from dissimilar backgrounds they engage with similar themes of archive and memory, nostalgia and reflection, identity and family, and environment and space. Several artists incorporate found objects or photographs into works that attempt to revisit the past or move beyond a chapter in life. Others search for home in their own memories, bodies, or environments, questioning identity, heritage, and the means through which we define ourselves. The exhibition also includes works that utilize an empathetic, personal approach to addressing political issues, upending preconceived beliefs and suggesting unexpected intersections. Untitled 15 is representative of a movement in contemporary art wherein artists are looking to the past with hope for the future.” –Mia Lopez
