Two sisters living far apart, Jo Ann Elig in Rhode Island and Kathleen Davis in Minnesota, have shared their love of nature for many years and encouraged each other to create art that expresses this love. Jo Ann is a plein air oil painter who has painted with a group of artists for over 20 years. She also creates vividly colored gel print collages that incorporate native leaves and grasses. Kathleen, a Vine Gallery member, has painted in oil and now primarily in watercolor. She draws much of her inspiration from the plants and flowers in her garden. She recently began working with photos and oil paint to create encaustic wax art. They hope that visitors will enjoy their show of color and form.
