Praxis presents a brand new exhibit theme: The Constructed Image. Don’t miss this collection of photographic art that delves into the fusion of creativity and storytelling, showcasing the power of constructed elements to shape evocative, multidimensional compositions that resonate with viewers on a profound level. Juried by Nicole Houff, famed Barbie photographer!
A free opening reception on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 6 to 8PM celebrates the debut of two new group shows at Praxis Gallery & Photographic Arts Center in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis. This diverse collection includes 18 Minnesota artists along with artists from 25 other states and 13 foreign countries.
The opening night reception is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to mingle with artists and fellow photography enthusiasts while exploring contemporary photographic art and enjoying complimentary refreshments. MOTION < BLUR juried by Laura Valenti opens in the original Praxis Gallery, while THE CONSTRUCTED IMAGE juried by Nicole Houff opens in the Directors’ gallery. The exhibitions will be on display through Saturday, December 9, 2023.

Praxis Gallery and Photographic Arts Center is a community-based, artist-led not-for-profit organization that supports the development of new and emerging artists through exhibition and education. Our mission is to bring diverse perspectives into focus through lens-based art, creating opportunities that engage, challenge, inspire, and surprise the public. Praxis provides solo and group exhibition opportunities, photography workshops, free artist talks, artist memberships, and access memberships to our darkroom and studio facilities.
