Suspended Modulations & Natural Instincts

Silverwood presents two new exhibitions on view in the Gallery at Silverwood Park

Silverwood Park is pleased to announce their upcoming gallery exhibitions Suspended Modulations by Nina Martine Robinson and Pete Driessen and Natural Instincts by MSS Creative Arts on view from January 14 - February 28, 2021. An opening reception is scheduled for Thursday, January 14 from 6 -8 pm. *

Suspended Modulations by Nina Martine Robinson and Pete Driessen
Suspended Modulations pairs two artists working with wood and textile forms interpreting ideas of suspension and spatial modularity. With individual focus on singular repurposed materials, repetition with variation, and material modifications, these site-specific works embrace Silverwood’s high beamed architecture as axis point. Separated, the coupled bodies of work speak to one another via suspended animation.

Natural Instincts by MSS Creative
MSS Creative Arts (soon to be Fresh Eye Arts) is a progressive art studio that supports artists with developmental disabilities. MSS artists create work as a form of self-expression, a way to earn money, and as a path to community connection. The art included in Natural Instincts comes from a place of intuition. A majority of MSS artists work instinctively, focusing on process and materials. The representational pieces in this exhibition focus on themes of animals and landscapes while the abstract works focus on color, line, and form.
