Join us as we celebrate the solo exhbitions of Soomaal Fellows Khadija Charif and Yasmin Yassin with a reception and artist discussion.

Charif explores secrecy in the everyday stranger and the subtle yearning of human nature to socialize, confess, and wish for acceptance. Yassin reflects on her experience of entering motherhood during the lockdown of the pandemic, woven alongside her Somali heritage.

A partnership between Augsburg Galleries and Soomaal House of Art that aims to harness the power of art as a tool for intellectual and civic engagement by advocating and advancing the creative development of Somali visual artists.
