"Roots and Routes"

Every month Clay Squared invites the community to our studios to learn something new about ceramic clay and polymer clay! And have some snacks! Free as always!  Josh Blanc is a tile maker and Layl McDill is a polymer clay sculptor. 

This month we ask the questions everyone wants to know- "Where are you from and how did you get here?" and then we make art about it! Josh and Layl are both from far away lands- Layl grew up on the prairie in Northeastern Wyoming and Josh grew up in the woods of Vermont. Join us to share where you hail from and make a stamped tile that represents that place. Over in the polymer clay studio make a piece of art that tells the tale of your journey to where you are now! It will be a fun way to connect with each other about the places we've been and how we ended up in a clay studio in Northeast Minneapolis creating together!

Our snack will include roasted root vegetables!
