Sideshow #12

The Gallery at Fox Tax is excited to announce it's upcoming art show titled Sideshow #12.  In his first solo exhibit at Fox Tax, local artist Peter Geyen uses mixed mediums and techniques to fabricate a world of objects, sculpture and imagery; both whimsical and engaging, works literally leap off the wall and at times stare back at the viewer.  Opening reception will be held Saturday, January 16th from 6 to 10 pm.

Drawing inspiration from both contemporary and timeless sources, Geyen's ever-evolving process has led to creating a large and varied body of work.  Three dimensional pieces jut out from beautifully hand-made frames.  Sculptures combine materials and techniques into other-worldly objects.  Collaborations with painters lead to works that literally crawl in and out of the canvas.  Each piece speaks to our shared contemporary experience of irony, absurdity and imagination.
