Queer Resource Fair
Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) is hosting its first Queer Resource Fair, where organizations from across the Twin Cities will be present to share information, make connections, and provide avenues of support for LGBTQ+ students, faculty, staff, and the community at large. Organizations plan to facilitate crafts, games, and activities for attendees. This event is free to attend.
The Queer Resource Fair creates a space for LGBTQ+ individuals of all ages and backgrounds to connect with one another and with local, queer-aligned organizations and social groups. Attendees will leave with an understanding of how to engage with local LGBTQ+ events, community, and organizing opportunities.
"MCAD was inspired to create a free and public meeting place for queer community members and local organizations,” states Jax Mercogliano, Chair of MCAD’s Queer Affinity Group. “We want to be an educational space for the broader community.”
