Prudence and Misfortune | Michael Sommers

Prudence and Misfortune | Michael Sommers

Prudence and Misfortune by Michael Sommers; at NE SCULPTURE I Gallery Factory

The Prudence and Misfortune of materials, not lost nor forgotten, but rediscovered, repurposed, shaped by  hands and eyes that see and cannot see. Piled in a corner they know Misfortune. Yet, the materials maintain feelings of hope and expectation, “We will come in handy someday,” they whisper. That day finally arrives.
They do come in handy.
“We go UP and AROUND and then BACK to the GROUND”
As we await the opportunity of emptiness.
