The Katherine E. Nash Gallery at the University of Minnesota presents post-, a group exhibition of twenty-eight artists about to complete their Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in the Department of Art at the University of Minnesota. The exhibition includes works by Stephen Alberts, Dez Bilges, Ashley Brazil, Emma Bushard, Anna Carlson, Ruby Cromer, Nick Dolan, Jo Garrison, Cooper Gatzmer, Eleanor Giese, Sarah Heinrich, Jordan Homstad, Trevor Jensen, Callianne Jones, Kruz Karstedt, Reid Edward Luskey, Fatuma Mohamud, Maria Oostra, Natalia Poteryakhin, Nikki Praus, Julia Reising, Barbara Shaterian, Bec Skelton, Syd Smith, Grant Staplin, Eleanore McKenzie Stevenson, Savannah Tines, and Maya Valadez.

Both a verb, a noun, and a prefix, post translates from Latin’s posterus—the coming after. For the twenty-eight artists in the exhibition, each considers what is both behind them and what is to follow, traversing the corporeal and the immaterial, the enduring and the ephemeral. Each artist navigates through mediums with ease of fluidity or possesses such a mastery over a singular craft that the form and content equalize. post- encapsulates the post-disciplinary strength of the Department of Art’s Bachelor of Fine Arts program, and the excitement of what is to come from this talented group of artists as they embark on their next journey—post here and now.
 

Reception
Join us outdoors, rain or shine, at the Regis Center for Art for an in-person public program from 6:00 - 6:30 PM Central featuring remarks from Department of Art faculty and the BA and BFA 2022 graduates, followed by an in-person reception with light refreshments from 6:30 - 8:30 PM. Masks are required in the Katherine E. Nash Gallery and strongly encouraged in the Regis East Lobby and Regis West Gallery.
