Pomp and Circumstance of Death and Psychopomp | Emily Robinson

The opening reception will be held in the Jan Johansen Gallery at Rumriver Art Center - 2665 4th Ave, Suite 103, Anoka (Old Milk Factory).

Pomp and Circumstance of Death and Psychopomp features new oil paintings and ceramics by Emily Robinson. In her show, Robinson explores the human experience of change and mortality through surreal atmospheres. Drawing from mythological guides and cultural psychopomps, the work reflects on personal grief, spiritual transition, and death.

“I invite the viewers to be curious about their own death and to consider who they would want to greet them,” says Robinson. “My goal is to make these uncomfortable conversations about death a little more familiar, a little easier.”

The exhibition will be held at Rumriver Art Center, located at 2665 4th Avenue, Suite #103, Anoka, MN 55303. Admission is free and open to the public.
