On the Road Again, Diptychs, and The Woods

This event is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to mingle with artists and fellow photography enthusiasts while exploring three galleries of contemporary photographic art and enjoying complimentary refreshments. Twenty-One Minnesota artists are featured in two group shows, along with artists from 20 other states and 12 foreign countries. A solo exhibit by Minnesota photographic artist, Brandon Movall, is on display in Gallery 3. 

Gallery 1: On the Road Again

Praxis Gallery presents photographic art that emphasizes the significance of the journey over the final destination. Artists to share their unique perspectives and experiences of the open road. Juried by Dallas Crow

Gallery 2: Diptychs

Praxis presents photographic art that explores the concept of the diptych; creating new meanings and aesthetic engagement by juxtaposing two images side by side. Juried by: Sandrine Hermand-Grisel

Gallery 3: The Woods, A solo exhibition by Brandon Movall

“Inspired by my childhood backyard experiences, ‘THE WOODS'’ aims to convey themes of exploration and escapism through forested areas of Minnesota park systems. These award-winning landscapes are revealed at night through long exposure photography illuminated by a singular light source to transform a cluster of seemingly-ordinary trees into something magical. ‘THE WOODS’ consists of 30 images captured over the course of 2023”.
