Nourish: A Feast For Your Eyes is a group art show that explores the concept of food in a larger sense—as nourishment for the body, mind, and soul, as well as a cornerstone of community, culture, and memory. The exhibition invites viewers to reflect on fond memories of favorite dishes, family gatherings centered around feasts, and the global experiences that define our relationship with food.
During the event, Sobr Social will be in the gallery mixing specialty mocktails while Blackberry Bakery serves treats. The exhibition also features several drawings for free art throughout the show. In the spirit of nourishment, the event is hosting a food drive accepting canned and dried goods for the Joyce Uptown Foodshelf, which has been serving the local community since 1969. Monetary donations can also be made directly to the food shelf via QR codes available in the gallery.
The exhibition takes place in the 3rd floor gallery (Studio 332) of the Northrup King Building.
