North Hennepin Community College (NHCC) is proud to showcase and celebrate outstanding artwork created by students taking studio arts courses and graphic design students produced during the academic year at the Student Art Show.
Event Details
Judging & Awards
Current students taking art classes can submit up to four entries of artwork created while enrolled at NHCC. Professional artists will serve as judges, reviewing an artwork’s merit based on authenticity, skill, and the artist’s ability to make a meaningful message. First, second, and honorable mention will be awarded in Digital Art, Photography, 2-D and 3-D Design, Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Mixed Media, Video, and Graphic Design (Packaging, Branding, Web Design, Posters, Illustration, Typography), and more.
People’s Choice Award
Visit the gallery and cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award, which recognizes the ‘best in show’ from gallery visitors by 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11.
Reception & Awards Ceremony
A reception and awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 16, 12:00-1:00 p.m. in the Joseph Gazzuolo Fine Arts Gallery (FAC 135). The event is free and includes refreshments and cookies.

Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
Saturday, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
