New Exhibitions at Praxis Gallery

An opening night reception on June 21, 2025, celebrates the debut of two new exhibitions at Praxis Gallery & Photographic Arts Center in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis.

This event is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to mingle with artists and fellow photography enthusiasts while exploring four galleries of contemporary photographic art and enjoying complimentary refreshments. Twenty-three Minnesota artists are featured in group shows, along with artists from 23 other states and 7 foreign countries.

New! Gallery 1: The Portrait
Work that explores representation, identity, or presence through portraiture—classic, candid, or conceptual.

New! Gallery 2: Animal Life

New! Gallery 3: You Belong Where You Feel Free — A Solo Exhibition by Christine Armbruster
An intimate photographic meditation on identity, place, and the tension between freedom and belonging.

New! Gallery 4: LYON ~ REDUX — A Solo Exhibition by Allen Gronhovd
Influenced by the works of Walker Evans, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Diane Arbus, and Brassaï, LYON ~ REDUX revisits early street photography through a contemporary lens. All artwork presented in the Chemistry Gallery is created using traditional photo-chemical processes.
