New Exhibitions at Praxis
An opening night reception 6–8PM on Saturday, April 18, celebrates the debut of two new exhibitions at Praxis Gallery & Photographic Arts Center in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis.
This event is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to mingle with artists and explore four galleries of contemporary photographic art. Twenty-three Minnesota artists are featured, along with artists from 27 other states and 6 foreign countries.
The exhibitions will be on display from April 18 – May 16, 2026.
New! Gallery 1: Balance / Repetition / Disruption
Balance, repetition, and disruption shape how images are structured and perceived—through rhythm, contrast, and visual tension. This exhibition presents work that explores composition as an active process, where equilibrium, pattern, and interruption interact within the frame.
New! Gallery 2: Multi-Exposed
Multi-exposed photography combines moments, spaces, and perspectives within a single image—expanding how time, memory, and structure are represented. From in-camera techniques to constructed digital overlays, the work explores layering as both form and meaning.
Gallery Hours:
Saturdays Noon–5PM and by appointment, during exhibition dates.
