
An opening night reception on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 6–8 p.m., celebrates the debut of two new exhibitions at Praxis Gallery & Photographic Arts Center in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis.
This event is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to meet artists and fellow photography enthusiasts while exploring four galleries of contemporary photographic art. Complimentary refreshments will be served.
The exhibitions will be on view from December 20, 2025 – January 10, 2026.
Gallery 1: Architecture Interpreted
Photographic works exploring architecture as form, rhythm, light, and cultural memory—moving beyond documentation into perception and imagination.
Gallery 2: In Between Moments
Images embracing the mundane, fleeting, and quietly observed—capturing the subtle rituals and stillness of everyday life.
Gallery 3: My Floating World: Views from Pacific Coast Highway — Luke Erickson
Works inspired by Hokusai, Hiroshige, Ruscha, and Hockney that reflect the dreamlike and sometimes stark beauty of Los Angeles and the Pacific Coast Highway. (Closes January 3, 2026)
Gallery 4: The Subtlety of Place — Carl Schulze
A solo exhibition in the Chemistry Gallery using traditional photo-chemical processes to explore the resonance and perception of place. (Ongoing)
