Nature’s Gaze | Kat Corrigan

Vine Arts Center hosts a solo exhibition of original paintings by Kat Corrigan

Vine Arts Gallery presents “Nature’s Gaze”, an exhibition of  paintings by Minneapolis painter Kat Corrigan and Vine Arts Center member artist. The show opens with an artist reception on Saturday, March 9 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Gallery hours are Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m through April 6th. As a painter, it can sometimes be difficult to direct the impact that the work has on the audience. With this series, Kat Corrigan is using the gaze of her animals to interact with the viewer. She is putting the faces of the local wildlife in front of everyday people. Her intention is to create a recognition, a stopped second, in which the viewer has a small shock of discovery and connection.

“I hope to inspire viewers to pause as they look at my work, and that they understand life as connecting us all, surrounding us all, holding us all together. “ Kat Corrigan

In addition to the exhibit gallery, Vine Arts Center member gallery will feature; Lori Grafling, watercolor artist, Raven Miller, mixed media artist and Leah Gossom, oil paint/mixed media artist.
