Celebrate the craft of animation in community at MinnAnimate 2026, a two-day animation festival showcasing new short films from around the region and globe. The festival features five distinct programs, including themed short film blocks and a retrospective of Minneapolis-based animator Sishir Bommakanti. Filmmaker Q&As occur at every screening, offering insights into the vibrant, kinetic, and diverse world of contemporary animation.

All screenings are projected on a 4K laser Christie cinema projector. Program highlights include works from local Minnesota artists alongside international selections from Canada, China, Ukraine, Brazil, France, and more.
