McKnight Discussion Series / Mar 2019

This discussion series pairs a nationally-recognized art critic or curator with two McKnight Visual Artist Fellows and offers attendees an opportunity to learn more about the fellowship recipients as well as how their work intersects with broader contemporary art ideas and concerns.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Eric Crosby is a curator and writer. His research interests include contemporary painting, photography, and the role of the museum today, as well as film history. He received his BA from Wesleyan University in 2002 and his MA from the University of Wisconsin in 2005. 

Andy DuCett is from Winona, Minnesota, and received his MFA from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He has been featured by Artforum, New American Paintings, The Daily Beast, Art Pulse Magazine, and The Huffington Post, as well as publications in Toronto, Berlin, Tokyo, and London. 

Bruce Tapola was born and raised in Ohio. He received his BFA from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and his MFA from Montana State University in Bozeman. He has exhibited nationally and internationally and has been the recipient of several awards including the McKnight Fellowship for Visual Artists (1994, 2000).
