Liminal Space | Kelly Schamberger

Frameworks Gallery presents a solo exhibition of over 40 plein air, figurative, and still life paintings by artist Kelly Schamberger.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kelly Schamberger (b. 1985) is an award-winning fine artist, representational oil painter, and art instructor working primarily in the genres of still life, landscape, portraiture, and figurative paintings. She earned a bachelor's degree in art from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls, continued her education in arts management at St. Mary's University in Minneapolis, studied graphic design and illustration at Boise State University, and then worked in digital marketing and freelance graphic design.

She transitioned to a fine art career through a four-year classical drawing and painting apprenticeship, and has further studied anatomy, form, and landscape through workshops and self-driven education. Schamberger has been the recipient of numerous awards, including Best of Show, Beauty of Oil, international, invitational, and juried exhibitions, competitive grants, and work in solo and group exhibitions. She is a member of the Outdoor Painters of Minnesota, and prides herself in being a mom to a beautiful 10-year-old, wife to an amazing husband, faithful Christian, and champion for the addiction recovery community.  She works from a home studio space in Duluth, Minnesota, and has work in private collections throughout the United States.
