Solo exhibition of work by artist Amanda Hamilton
Hamilton’s paintings on paper began as studio exercises based on an interest in darkness as both subject and object. These works—defined by repetition and limitation of scale and materials—are reflections on texture, form, and space; a place of experimentation and curiosity, a question of how to make and how to be. The exhibition is installed and designed by the artist in such a way as to be a place of openness, quietude, and hospitality.
