Marjorie Fedyszyn is an artist-educator living in Minneapolis. She received a 2018 Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board and was a 2013 Jerome Fiber Artist Project Grant recipient. “Irreproachable,” which means blameless, is rooted in incidents of abuse during her childhood.

“The meditative repetition of art making is part of my healing process and helps me understand that traumatic events from my childhood influenced my life and work.” She has explored the relationship between protection, control and vulnerability in her art. “The skins and barriers we apply and shed over a lifetime of experiences can keep us safe or reveal our vulnerabilities.”

Meditative Stitching Events: Thursday, November 8, 6-8pm or Thursday, November 15, 1-3pm. Join Marjorie for quiet conversation and reflection as you sit and stitch or needle felt in the gallery.  Pre-registration is required and there is a maximum number of 8 in each group.  For further information and to register, please visit: Meditative Stitching Sign UP.
