Invisible Light

An group exhibition of light based installation work

Modus Locus is excited to announce “Invisible Light,” an illuminated group art exhibit of artists who create works that incorporate lighting elements. Each piece uses LED, incandescent, and neon lights that glow at differing frequencies to create an immersive, visceral experience. These works can provoke and reflect the inner illumination of ideas, creation, nurturing, smoldering notions, and release.

The visible light spectrum is the segment of the electromagnetic spectrum that the human eye can view. The title of this show, “Invisible Light” plays with the reality that during Winter in the frozen north, we live with diminishing natural light and color. This exhibit encourages us to retreat internally to honor the light within as we yield ourselves to darkness.

The selected pieces in this exhibit of 9 artists delve into different media including metal, wood, paper, beeswax, mirror, neon gas, and molded resin to achieve the desired effects.
