Infrastructure of Identity

CL Martin is a figurative artist who focuses mainly on portraiture of performers. They enjoy the examination of identity through critical analysis of gender performance, human emotion, and the cultural aesthetics of power. Alongside their work, Aidan Dillon focuses on challenging, playful and abstract work that focuses on the urban spaces that we live and work in. His abstract compositions touch on the themes of social and cultural impacts of built environments.

These two themes work together for viewers to explore their own construct of identity and experiences. Finding the ways in which we connect with other people by diversily portraying ourselves. Reflect on how you may interact with one person opposed to the next or what preconceived roles you may fall into or stray away from in this exhibition.
