Join us in Hudson, Wisconsin for our monthly Art Crawl on Friday, June 5. Art galleries, coffee shops, retail and restaurants welcome you. This event happens every first Friday of the month. Plan a night to go out to art openings at galleries, artist talks at local coffee shops and visit your favorite eatery or tavern. Our beautiful Rivertown on the St. Croix River is a fun place to hang out. See you soon!
Highlights:
Black Rooster Bistro; 516 2nd Street on the Lower Level. Thoughtfully procured, artfully created food and cocktails in a speakeasy atmosphere.
Chapter2 Books; 226 Locust Street is our go to book store for creative books including art books and coloring books. Open til 7:00.
Cream of the Crop Artists Gallery; 511 Second Street opening Kiln to Crop: Midwest Ceramic Exhibition. This group exhibition shows the depth and diversity of contemporary ceramics in the Midwest in all forms—functional, sculptural, and installation-based. Designed as a diverse showcase in the medium of clay. The artists reception is from 5:00-8:30.
Dunn Brothers; 529 Second Street shows Plein Air Paintings by Naomi Tiry Salgado. Her paintings are on view in the coffee shop. Open til 7:00.
Hudson Art Gallery; 516 2nd Street has an opening reception for the exhibition Summertime Joy from 5:00-8:00 Featuring selections from Virginia Randolph Bueide’s beguiling “Passage” and “Picnic” series, and the joyful florals of Carmen Duran, this lively exhibit embraces the color and warmth of summertime. Viewers are invited to slow down and reconnect with the natural world through childlike wonder and happy memories of summers gone by. Show runs through July 17.
KPT Collaborative; 522 2nd Street is featuring artworks by Abigail Ahlberg, Genie Castro, Jim Clark, James Holmberg, Kat Nottingham and Anna Stark. Come take a tour of this brilliant work space that channels great energy and connections. Opening reception 5:00-8:00pm.
Post American Eatery; 225 Locust Street supports the arts and serves a Friday Night Prime Rib and All-You-Eat Fish Fry.
Rivertown Tattoo; 412 Second Street is excited to Show Kayla Hammell, professional photographer and portrait artist. Their Escape the World Exhibition is enchanting with photographs mystifying reality. The lobby gallery features new artworks by Nicolas Harper and Josh Shea. Opening is from 5:00-8:30.
St. Croix Provisions; 409 2nd Street A premier gentleman’s clothing with artful style is open for creative shopping until 7:00.
