Gidibaajimomin, "We Tell Stories"

Gordon M. Coons portrays his views of traditional native stories, and his Chippewa and Ottawa heritage. He incorporates strong family influences into each of his images, and evokes stories of the relationship of western and native cultures.

He will showcase work of different media on each wall including Ojibwa Woodland art style, reduction linoleum block prints, oil and acrylic paintings, and mixed media pieces.

Opening night music by :Jake Vainio, Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe,
Explores elements of Electronic music, with expressions of traditional jazz harmonies, and improvisation.
